Stripchat App: How to Install It on iPhone, Android and Desktop

Checked 24 September 2026 against Stripchat's help centre (article updated 10 August 2026), its official install page, the US App Store and Google Play. CamChief did not install the web app on a test device for this guide; the steps below are Stripchat's documented steps.

Is there a Stripchat app?

Not in the app stores. Stripchat states that it "does not offer a standalone mobile app through the App Store, Google Play, or as an APK" and that "the only way to install the Stripchat mobile web app is through the official Stripchat website" (Stripchat help centre).

What Stripchat offers instead is a Progressive Web App (PWA). Once installed, it opens from an icon in its own window like an app, but it runs on Stripchat's website rather than a downloaded app package. On 24 September 2026 a search of the US App Store returned no Stripchat app, and Google Play's US search showed no app from Stripchat.

How do you install the Stripchat app?

Open stripchat.com in your browser and use the install banner or your browser's install option. Stripchat's help centre says to tap the installation banner above the site header on mobile and follow the instructions. Its official install page gives these routes:

If no banner appears, use the browser menu option instead. The banner is a shortcut, not the only route. On iPhone, the documented route uses Safari's Share menu.

What can the Stripchat web app do?

For viewers, the web app does what the website does. Stripchat lists browsing and watching live streams, chatting with models, managing your account and purchases, opening saved content, and turning on notifications, for example when a favourite model goes live.

For models, Stripchat says the web app can be used to go live, manage a profile and Fan Club, and chat with viewers. Its mobile broadcasting article says broadcasting from a phone runs in Chrome on Android and Safari on iOS, and that Honor, ZTE and Huawei phones are not supported.

Is the Stripchat APK real?

No official Stripchat APK exists, according to Stripchat. Its help centre says that if you come across an app claiming to be the Stripchat app, "don't install it. It may be fraudulent and unsafe."

The APK download sites that appear in search results list files under package names that are not Stripchat's. On 24 September 2026 we saw listings with packages such as zeus.dapp.d_app (a "Stripchat 1.0.0" build labelled 2023), com.app.stripchatlmod and com.stripechat.stripechatlivecams1. One third-party site says outright that its app "is not an official application". We did not download or analyse these files and make no claim about what they contain; Stripchat's position is simply that none of them is its app.

Two Google Play listings that still appear in Google's results for "stripchat app" (a "Stripchat quiz and tips" app and a "Stripchat: Live Chat App") returned a 404 "not found" page on 24 September 2026. Be especially wary of any "mod APK" promising unlimited tokens or free private shows. Those promises are a common scam pattern, and no legitimate route to free tokens exists through a modified app.

Why is Stripchat not in the App Store or Google Play?

Both stores ban sexually explicit apps. Apple's App Review Guidelines (section 1.1.4) prohibit "overtly sexual or pornographic material". Google Play's sexual content policy says: "We don't allow apps on Google Play that contain or promote sexual content". An adult cam platform cannot meet either rule, which is why adult cam sites generally offer installable web apps instead. Our guide to mobile cam sites compares how other platforms handle phones.

Is the web app better than using the mobile browser?

It is the same site with app-like convenience. Stripchat's install page lists quick home-screen access, a separate app window, notifications when models go online or message you, and saving storage compared with a downloaded app. It also says the web app will "keep your activity off your browser history". That is Stripchat's claim; we have not tested it, and a private browsing window remains the more predictable option if you do not want local history.

What is the Stripchat app for?

It gives you one-tap access to Stripchat from your home screen or desktop, with notifications, without an app-store download. It is the Stripchat website packaged as an installable web app.

Is there a Stripchat app for iPhone?

Not in the App Store. On iPhone you install the web app from Safari with Share, then Add to Home Screen.

Is stripchat.app the official site?

stripchat.app is referenced in Stripchat's own website code, but Stripchat's help centre says to install the web app only from the official Stripchat website. Use stripchat.com to be safe.

Is the Stripchat APK safe?

Stripchat says any app claiming to be its app outside the official website "may be fraudulent and unsafe". It publishes no APK.

Does the Stripchat app cost anything?

No. Installing the web app is free. You pay only for tokens and paid features, exactly as on the website.
